Bendwood PTA Business Underwriting Opportunities
for the 2022-2023 School Year
Dear Valued Community Member,
The Bendwood School is part of the Spring Branch Independent School District (SBISD) and is located
next to Bendwood Park and the Town and Country shopping center. The school houses three
extremely important programs that serve 1,000 students each year:
- SBISD’s Gifted and Talented program (SPIRAL) allows each elementary school to send
their 3rd - 5th grade gifted and talented (GT) students to Bendwood all day, once a
week for a specialized curriculum in language arts, science and math. - The Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) is a unique program that provides early
intervention and a nurturing environment to help children with disabilities meet their
individual needs and prepare them for kindergarten. The program is a
comprehensive continuum of services for children, ages 3-5 who have an Individual
Education Plan (IEP) with identified delays in one or more of the five developmental
areas (i.e., cognition, communication, self-help, fine/gross motor, social/emotional). - CUBS serves 3- to 5-year-old students who require a highly structured classroom
environment and an increased adult-to-student ratio. The CUBS classroom structure
places increased emphasis on the acquisition of positive behavioral skills and
appropriate communication and socialization with peers and adults.
WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!
Our PTA is responsible for approximately 80% of the curriculum budget for the upcoming school
year. All funds raised by the Bendwood PTA go directly to the purchase of curriculum materials and
technology upgrades, fund teacher training, student field trips and special classroom projects.
